Today is International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples

Indigenous People are the original stewards of the land. They understood how to honor and maintain bio-diversity and we pushed them out off the land in name of conservation and financial gain and we will pay for that. I've only recently come to understand the importance of this connection between indigenous people and the environment. I encourage everyone to examine for themselves whether the western conservation movement is working.
